Dark and atmospheric with the odd glimmer of light. ‘Death March’ was written for the unforgettable end credits sequence. Laurent’s score for The Herd has earned him a nomination for Best Music at this year’s British Horror Film Festival held at the prestigious Empire Theatre in Leicester Square.
A short film scored back in 2016
Laurent recently produced an original score for the charity Greenpeace. They wanted something acoustic and sombre that lead into something upbeat that featured a full band. One of the requirements was a slight nod to the Fleetwood Mac classic ‘The Chain’, a track that has become synonymous with race cars.

In 2011 Laurent took some time off from Gallows and entered EMI studios to write a collection of 90s inspired indie pop songs for a project called Blackeye.
‘Misery’ released in 2009 was recorded in three separate studios. The band recorded at Rak in St Johns Wood with pianos at Abbey Road and strings at Air Studios. ‘Chains’ released in 2014 is dark and atmospheric. The starkness of the video reflects the new direction the band were headed.

Laurent composed some original pieces of incidental music to form part of this ‘Making of’ documentary.
Relentless Short Stories 2011
Laurent worked with Relentless producing original music for two documentary shorts. The first was an intimate portrait of Professional BMX rider Niki Croft and the second an in depth journey into the heart of the mosh pit.
Moones filmed two very different videos for their track ‘Better Energy’. The first was shot in Brooklyn and the second in a warehouse in Seven Sisters. Both showcase the brilliant and off the wall thinking behind the band’s creative output. ‘Slow Release’ is taken from their forthcoming album Modern Music Moguls.
Laurent provides guitars to this heavy sextet that have toured the UK with the likes of Mastodon and Marilyn Manson
After Bizzle’s guest appearance on Gallows top 40 hit ‘Staring at the Rudebois’, Laurent returned the favour by remixing his single ‘Babylon’s Burning the Ghetto’ and writing guitar parts on his album ‘Go Hard’.
Laurent has produced official remixes for the likes of Lethal Bizzle, Lights, My Chemical Romance, Gay For Johnny Depp, Good Charlotte, Rolo Tomassi, Turbowolf, Bleach Blood, Carnival Kids and many more.
